“Pesto”……..see in the Aldente Kitchen…”Recipes”….

Pesto Genovese sauce it is one of traditional preparation of my town Genoa. In Genoa we are “religious” toward Pesto sauce: the choice of basil, cheeses, oil, peanuts and garlic must be accurate; to put this clearly personal: I do not eat Pesto sauce outside Genoa town. My mother taught me that the best basil grown between the two small district of Pra’ and Voltri, in only one mile of land lenght, but you take only one leaf of basil here and bring it to your kitchen and your neighborhood will notice the basil perfume persisting for at least 24 hours and more………Pesto Genovese Minestrone
