
Cooking Foods Italian Recipes – Tuna & Green Peas Pasta (Pasta con Tonno & Piselli)
OK let’s say that you don’t have too much in your kitchen and you are in hurry…just keep away some basic ingredients, such as canned tuna, canned peas, onions, scallion, garlic, caper, tomato sauce, extra virgin olive oil, salt, pasta… this is what I suggest you to keep always: cheap ingredients which could give you quick and tasty dishes…
Ingredients: (4 persons)
one pound of pasta
half pound of canned tuna (under oil )
1/4 of pound of canned green peas
scallion (or half onion)
tomato sauce – extra virgin olive oil – marine salt – white wine
start frying the scallion in half glass of extra virgin olive oil
as the scallion fades add the tuna
stir and cook for two-three minutes then add and handful of capers
stir again
add one glass of tomato sauce: instead, just to show you, I added one spoon of “Triple Concentrate of Tomato” this came in sticks and I do it because it is convenient keep in our fridge this product easy and fast! we should be able to use every resource we have!
stir again
we have almost finish…add the green peas…
…and half glass of white wine
cook and let the sauce dry for 5-6 minutes.
during the time you prepared the green peas and tuna sauce you should have cooked the pasta in salt boiling water
I add the pasta, today is “ruote” (wheels) straight in to the fry-pan and I stir mixing it with the sauce for one-two minutes
put in the plates and try…this fast and humble preparation it’s fantastic !!!
